The authority delegated to the Assistant Branch Manager is to manage the branch including staff and operations in a manner that produces above-average industry performance.
The Assistant Branch Manager will direct their actions, staff, and operations to achieve directives of the ALM committee, annual budget projections, annual scorecard targets, and strategic objectives.
The Assistant Branch Manager will not cause or allow any practice that is illegal, imprudent, or a violation of any state and/or federal laws.
The Assistant Branch Manager is accountable for all actions of the staff under his or her direction.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER INCLUDES:
Assisting the Branch Manager with the operations of the branch; assuming duties of the Branch Manager in their absence Providing assistance and direction to tellers and MSRs, as needed, and assisting in solving complex account problems Functioning as teller or MSR on an as-needed basis, filling in for peak coverage or shortages Maintaining an active cross-selling environment within the branch; monitoring sales production and coach all branch employees to success to ensure referral and branch sales goals are met Assisting the Branch Manager with Business and SEG development Promoting Pelican in the communities in which we serve Maintaining working knowledge of and complying with regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include but not limited to BSA, OFAC, UAS Patriot Act, Red Flags, Regulation CC, Regulation D, Regulation E, Truth and Savings, Truth in Lending, Privacy, etc ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
2-year college degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
3 years of experience in branch operations including a combination of lending, deposits, and teller duties.
Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
